St. Lucia has always been a popular tourist destination due its pristine sandy beaches, tropical weather and beach resorts—however, like many countries around the world, it is not possible to stay in the county without a visa, residence permit or citizenship.
Nevertheless, St. Lucia has signed an agreement for visa free entry for citizens of 114 countries for purposes of pleasure or tourism with the validity ranging from 42 days to 6 months. 1 This means that citizens of certain countries such as the U.K., Suriname and Jamaica do not need a visa for up to 6 months.
Majority of the visa free period for many of these countries is 90 days. Some nationals can also obtain an e-visa and citizens of certain countries such as Bangladesh, Cambodia, Cape Verde and Bolivia do obtain a visa on arrival with a duration of 30-90 days.

- Proof of onward or return ticket.
- Documentation showing reason of travel.
- Proof of sufficient funds.
However, this only applies to travel that does not entail work or business. Also, certain nationals such as U.S. citizens require a non-immigrant St. Lucian visa for any duration of stay. 2 Check with the embassy to verify visa requirements for your country.
